okay first off.. I want to say thanks to my friends and those who support me on my trip.
As you know I left Saturday - Aug. 26th... it was really a late start. I went to the club on friday (it was soo much fun hehee ... got the pictures to prove it!) BUT the thing is that I forgot to check out my credit card.. so it was still at the bar.. i know it sucks!
anyhow, chris and I got to San Francisco about 1am (Rommell also road up with us and we dropped him off in the 'city') basically we were all beat at that time.
So then came along sunday... heheh we(ray-chris-me) were suspose to plan stuff out but that sure didn't happend. What did happen was that we went to Ray's friends house, Kim, and celebrated with a crazy group of his friends. We literally started drinking at noon and I was trashed about 6pm .. (i think) lol
okay.. to the first day off on our road trip, there was some issues. We had all of our stuff ready to go, but.. it was too tooo much stuff. It couldn't even fit it all in the car with room for the 3 of us.. hell it was soo much stuff that if we stuff the car with everything we wanted to bring at first, there wouldn't be any room for ANYONE to sit in the car!!! So we had to spend about 2 or 3 hours unpacking and taking ONLY the things we needed and packed the car like TETRIS MASTERS!!
Our first really exciting spot we went to was towards the border of California and Oregon. We went to go eat at this place called, "Casa Ramos." This was soo funny, for the fact that Chris and Ray's last name is "Ramos." If you ever see any of these mexican resturants around, GO THERE. The food was aaaMAZiing!
After stepping out side of the resturant, we actually met this pretty interesting person from the ukraine. This person was raising money for a non-profit organization that has something to do w/ poverty.
From there we went to drive by the city, "Weed" haha it was cracking us up when we saw that. Therefore it required us to take pictures of it. Duh!
3am-ish we finally passed the border took the awesome picture of us with the welcome sign, but ran off pretty quickly because we heard something moving in the bushes next to us. Ya i know we ran off like some 5 year old scaredy cat.
So what did we do for the first night of sleep? what do you think! we sleep in the car... got kicked out from using the starbucks free wifi, not for using the internet, but for being in the parking lot after hours. So we drove around and finally just picked a place to park the car and crash... it was already getting late.
eekk I only got like 3hrs of sleep that nite. damn.. i was too alert and kept looking around when other cops drove by and weird people pass our car. ooohh what was really really amazing that i noticed first about oregon is the birds. I seriously saw hundreds of bird flocks flying around in the sky.
From sleeping in the city of Medford, we went to go check out Crater Lake. (it was recommended from cool people at starbucks). We got there pretty easily and enjoyed the scenery.
GUESS WHAT? so we finally started to get the ball rolling on the health. We ran for a good while at the national park of oregon, while the only downfall was that it was a bit hot out but the breeze was freakishly cold... not a good thing when your running.
Now I'm at the city of Troutdale (15miles away from Portland, Oregon). It really hasn't hit me that I'm going to do this for 5 months... right now it just seems like it's a weekend thing.
